​Arts Minister Tony Burke, who will today take on an additional role as Immigration Minister, announced on the weekend the appointment of the members of the new Board of the Australia Council.

Tony Burke will retain his position as Minister for the Arts, as well as taking on immigration. This will be a welcome announcement for the arts sector who generally believed Tony Burke was a good appointment as Arts Minister and who would not have relished a third minister in as many months.
