New directors appointed to QSO

​Two new appointments to the board of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra will bring with them a wealth of experience in global entertainment and strategic business nous.

Rod Pilbeam is co-founder of the AEG Ogden empire, which today is responsible for the management of venues in Australia, Asia and the Middle East, including more than 13 major arenas and stadiums, convention and exhibition centres and performing arts theatres.

Page Maxson is the Chief Executive Officer of Australia Pacific LNG, a joint venture of Origin, ConocoPhillips and Sinopec. Originally from Oklahoma, he has had a global career in oil and gas exploration and development.

QSO Chair Mr Greg Wanchap, 'We are excited and privileged to have them with us as the orchestra goes from strength to strength both artistically, and from an audience growth point of view. This is a pivotal time for us.'
