While the previous government set about reforming the not-for-profit sector, AMPAG expressed its concerns in many areas, including wanting to ensure that the new definition of ‘charity’ included the arts as a specific category.
We will now have to wait an extra nine months for that reassurance.
The Community Council for Australia today published a media release calling on the government to provide clarity and stability to the sector.
David Crosbie, the CCA’s CEO, said, the delay was ‘an unfortunate and unwelcome step backwards that will create uncertainty and mistrust’.
